The NEA High Priority Nuclear Data Request List (HPRL) is a compilation of the highest priority nuclear data requirements. The purpose of the list is to provide a guide for those planning measurements, nuclear theory and evaluation programmes. The list is maintained by the NEA Working Party on International Nuclear Data Evaluation Cooperation (WPEC) Expert Group on the High Priority Request List for Nuclear Data.
The HPRL has entered a new phase, embracing modernisation to better serve its community and accelerate collaboration among the experts.
The list has been migrated to a newly developed web page that offers a cleaner, more intuitive interface. This platform provides improved access to categorised entries, allowing the users to navigate the list with greater ease and precision. One of the main standout features is the ability to incorporate media, such as figures, attached files and graphs within the request text, ensuring that every submission is comprehensive and visually supported.
Looking forward, the upgrades continue with plans to revamp the request submission process. A new request form, fully compatible with the updated web page, will simplify the transition from request to entry. The dedicated GitLab repository will enable open and transparent expert collaboration. This platform will allow group members to submit entry requests, while experts may provide feedback, iterate proposals and track revisions. Once finalised, entries will be presented to the Expert Group for formal discussion and approval. This version-controlled environment is expected to significantly refine the quality and traceability of contributions.
By adopting modern tools and practices, the initiative aims to strengthen the engagement among the Expert Group members and accelerate the processing of high-priority nuclear data requests.
