High-temperature Engineering (Last updated: 21-Jan-2005)
The NEA organised a first information
exchange meeting on basic studies in the field of high-temperature
engineering in September 1999. A second
meeting was held in 10-12 October 2001. A third
meeting, held in 2003 in Japan, recommended the establishment of an Expert Group on "Microstructure-property relationships in irradiated graphite, SIC and C-C composites at high temperatures".
Nuclear
Production of Hydrogen (Last updated: 21-Jan-2005)
Due to CO2 mission limits, it is expected that hydrogen will assume a major share of the transportation energy
market in the future. A first information exchange meeting
on Nuclear Production of Hydrogen was held in October 2000, followed by a second
meeting in October
2003. A third meeting will be held on 5-7 October 2005 in Japan.
Fuel
Cycle Chemistry(Last updated: 20-Feb-2003)
The NSC has been organising several workshops and information exchange meetings
on fuel cycle chemistry. It has tight connection with partitioning
and transmutation. A workshop
on R&D needs for actinide chemistry will be organised in the future.
Preservation
of Integral Experiments Data (Last updated: 21-Feb-2003)
Radiation shielding experiments, Nuclear fuel performance/behaviour
experiments, Integral Test Facility and Separate Effects Tests Validation
Matrix.
R&D
needs in Nuclear Science (Last update: 12-Dec-2002)
A workshop on this topics was held at the OECD Headquarter in 6-8 November 2002.
