The Regulatory Control of Radioactive Waste Management in NEA Member Countries

The country reports below present information about the regulatory control of radioactive waste management in NEA member countries, with emphasis being placed on waste disposal. Information is given for 15 NEA member countries using a standard template designed by the RWMC Regulators' Forum to facilitate easy access to specific aspects and allow comparison between countries. It includes information about national policies for radioactive waste management, institutional frameworks, legislative and regulatory frameworks, available guidance, classification and sources of waste, the status of waste management, current issues and related R&D programmes. It should therefore provide an important source of reference for all stakeholders interested in learning about international practices in the field of radioactive waste management.

These reports have now been replaced by the RWM country profiles.
