of the 7th Information Exchange Meeting held in Jeju, Republic
of Korea, on 14-16 October 2002. The meeting covered the broad
spectrum of developments in the field, such as the role of P&T
in advanced nuclear fuel cycles; developments in partitioning;
developments in accelerators, materials and fuels; the performance
of transmutation systems and their safety; R&D needs, including
benchmarks, data improvement and experiments; and the role of
international collaboration. More than 100 papers were presented
during the meeting. Also included is a summary of the panel discussions
on perspectives for the future development of P&T.
