effectiveness (MACRE 2003) will be held on 17-18 June 2003 in Paris. The
forum aims to assess regulatory effectiveness from a range of perspectives
including those of regulators, industry, government and stakeholders.
The results of the NEA pilot programme of nuclear regulatory effectiveness
indicators will be discussed and the forum's findings incorporated in
a forthcoming revised edition of the NEA report Improving
Nuclear Regulatory Effectiveness. More information is available at

at OECD headquarters to discuss a draft report on pyrochemical separation
techniques. The report reviews the status of national programmes and international
collaboration, as well as research needs and possible future applications
of pyrochemical separation techniques. The report is due to be published
