ISOE North American ALARA Symposium/EPRI Radiation Protection Conference |
| |
This ISOE symposium is organised to provide a regional forum to promote information exchange of ideas and management approaches to maintaining occupational radiation exposures "as low as reasonably achievable"(ALARA). It is designed to meet the needs of nuclear utility and regulatory authority professionals with responsibilities in the areas of occupational radiation exposure control and health physics. The objective is for participants to exchange occupational dose reduction practices and lessons learnt to improve occupational radiation protection in nuclear power facilities worldwide. The conference will also provide a forum for information exchange between vendors and other members of the industry. |

Control and Management of Occasional Radioactive Materials in Scrap Metal |
| |
The objective of the conference is to exchange international experience gained in recent years in the control and management of radioactive material that has been inadvertently diverted into scrap metal streams. To promote good practices to prevent inadvertent diversion of radioactive material and to elaborate further upon existing international recommendations and, as needed, to develop new recommendations and guidance. |
