Patches to the latest released versions

A bug has been found in SAMMY (version M6-beta) which affects only the following situation:

(a) Two or more entrance channels for a spin group; AND
(b) All resonances of this spin group have Gamma_x = Zero for entrance channel "x"

Calculations under these conditions may not be completely accurate with version M6-beta of the code. SAMMY users who require more than one entrance channel should download the updated version of file mxct3.f, compile and relink. For further details, contact Nancy Larson at LarsonNM@ornl.gov

  • The conversion of independent variables from {√E,γ } to { E, Γ } was performed correctly in early versions of the code, but the conversion of the associated covariance matrix was not. That has been corrected for the next release.
