JEFF-3.0 Release Notes

JEFF-3.0

The Joint Evaluated Fission and Fusion File (JEFF-3.0) is an evaluated library produced via an international collaboration of Data Bank member countries co-ordinated under the auspices of the NEA Data Bank. The JEFF-3.0 library comprises at present only a general purpose library including thermal scattering law data for 5 materials. This general purpose library was released in April 2002. It is in ENDF-6 format and contains data for 340 materials from 1-H-1 to 99-Es-255.

The complete library can be obtained in a number of ways:

1. Firstly maintaining a single file per isotope:

Single compressed unix tar file	~33 Mbytes
DOS zipped file	~29 Mbytes

2. As a single ENDF tape containing all isotopic data:

Single ASCII ENDF tape for neutron data	~110 Mbytes
as above but zipped file	~26 Mbytes
Single ASCII ENDF tape for thermal scattering data	~9 Mbytes
as above but zipped file	~3 Mbytes

3. Or obtained on CD-ROM by sending an e-mail request.

Alternatively individual isotopic files are shown in the table below which gives the list of the JEFF-3.0 General Purpose materials and provides links to the corresponding evaluated files. Complex searches of the library sections can also be carried out via our online Evaluated Database EVA.
