3. DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM OR FUNCTION - LISA is used in the analysis of hazards due to the disposal of nuclear waste in geological formations. The risk linked to pre-established release scenarios is assessed in terms of dose rate to a maximum exposed individual. The various submodels in the code simulate the system of barriers - both natural and man made - which are interposed between the contaminants and man.

NEA 0860/06: NEA-DB implemented the different modules of this package on a DEC VAX 8810 computer and executed the test case of LISA-4 in 57 minutes of CPU time.
