DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM OR FUNCTION - W-Shielder calculates shielding thickness of water for any photon emitting radionuclide between 0.5 to 10 MeV. 4.
METHODS - W-Shielder assumes the radionuclide(s) as a point source and uses Taylor¿s notation for build up factor to calculate shielding thickness. 5.

The package was tested at the NEA Data Bank on a Dell Precision Workstation 650, Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 2.66GHz, 1024Kb.
W-SHIELDER was tested by the authors on the following operating systems:
- PC-DOS or MS-DOS.
- Window 3.1.
- Window 95, 97, 98, 2000, Millennium and XP.
The package was tested at the NEA Data Bank under Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1.2600).
