CCC-0257/01 IBM 3033 IBM 3081
3.
DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM OR FUNCTION - DELFIC-TES computes the transit gamma exposure from the airborne cloud resulting from a nuclear burst for fixed targets located on or above the earth's surface.
4.
METHOD OF SOLUTION - The system is based on a method of producing "snapshots" of the moving cloud of airborne particles during the transport process of DELFIC. Each particle in each snapshot is then assigned an activity and these data are used to calculate transit exposure by employing an energy-dependent buildup factor technique.
5.
RESTRICTIONS ON THE COMPLEXITY OF THE PROBLEM - 6.
TYPICAL RUNNING TIME - 7.
UNUSUAL FEATURES OF THE PROGRAM - 8.
RELATED AND AUXILIARY PROGRAMS - The model employed is an extension of the Department of Defense Land Fallout Prediction System computer program DELFIC.
